THE INFLUENCE OF READING INTEREST AND SELF-EFFICACY ON READING COMPREHENSION OF THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT AS-SHOFA ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PEKANBARU

This research was aimed to investigate the influence of reading interest and self-efficacy on comprehension tenth grade students at As-Shofa Islamic Senior High School Pekanbaru. The data were collected through questionnaire, questionnaire test. correlational design using quantitative method. subject Pekanbaru consisting 5 classes. sample taken by proportional stratified random sampling method from classes which each class had different number students. total population 150 50 Pearson’s product moment multiple regression formula used analyze data. findings showed that first, there no significant students’ with score 0.268 > 0.05.
